Town of Superior
The origional town of Superior was settled in the late 1896 as a coal mining town and was a thriving town with a train station until the Industrial Mine closed in 1945.
Located 30 minutes from Denver & 10 minutes from Boulder on Highway 36. Superior has grown to a population of aproximately 9,000 since the early 1990’s with the development of Rock Creek Ranch. The community is surrounded by open space and has trails throughout connecting all of the areas open space, parks and ponds. Superior has 170 acres of parks and it borders 900 acres of Boulder County open space.
There is a wonderful community spirit with festivals, parades and entertainment throughout the year for the whole family to enjoy; among them are the Chili Festival and the 4th of July Parade.
